It's time for another COMIC SPOTLIGHT!!!!
I enjoy writing these as I get to shine a light on some of the comics that I feel might have not received the attention from all the amazing supporters of Mighty Female Muscle Comix. You guys are amazing and I thank you all so much for the support through all the years. It is your support that keeps MFMC going and gives it its strength to grow and create new content.
The Zoo is actually a series that I quite enjoyed writing, and I hope to at least write one more installment in the series. What I think I like the most about The Zoo comics is that to me they're the epitome of what I believe MFMC comics should be about. They're sexy, they're silly, they're full of action, gratuitous displays of muscular female might, fmg, and full of video game and 80s action movie references. In fact this whole series is modeled off of 80s action movies, but with the whole furry aesthetic and sexy muscle babes as the leads instead of hulking macho men... So... its quite the recipe for a fun Mighty Female Muscle Comix romp.
Also long time fans of MFMC will notice that I tend to include a lot of slapstick or physical humor straight out of both Looney Tunes and also 3 Stooges in my comics, and this comic also ramps up the Tex Avery type mayhem and goes full tilt! I mean... I don't think I have any other comics where I ever have a woman do a boob smash or a boob crush where the woman pins a man into a wall with just her powerful bosom. And such a scene occurs in both issues... And you can bet if there is ever a 3rd installment that there would be a 3rd boob crush(one can only hope!!!).
I know antrho is not for everyone, but I think anthro or not, the series and characters are still drawn in a way that is appealing, and really its just a great series. Its drawn by the amazing and talented Jorge Garay. And Jorge is without a doubt one of the best action sequence illustrators I've ever worked with. No one draws cute martial arts muscle babes better than him. No one! And this series has a lot of really cool and epic action sequences. Again, if you like muscle babes, and if you like Looney Tunes, and if you like 80s action movies, then you'll LOVE this series. Give it a chance, and we'll get that third BOOB SMASH! And I think I'll try to do a boob smash in a different series as well.
